**2022 – 2023 Season**
Tournaments are held each Saturday beginning Nov 12th, 2022 and ending Mar 4th, 2023
This is a team tournament with a championship tournament on Mar 25th, 2023 (Date Pending) to crown the overall tournament trail champion.
The top 15 teams in points plus the top 5 teams from the Shimano Wild Card Qualifier (See Below) will qualify to fish the championship.
**We will NOT fish on Saturday, February 18th due to the CBC being on Lake Norman

Tournament Information:
Day of tournament registration begins at 7:00 AM
Sign up by 7:45 AM
Fishing 8:00AM -3:00 PM
Fish Requirements – 5 Fish Limit
3 Fish MUST be 14”
ALL ALIVE
2 Fish any size
****If you bring 3 short fish to the scales you will be disqualified for that tournament.****
Early registration begins at 6pm during our weekly Facebook live feed on the Tuesday prior. Early registration continues on Wed, Thur and Friday from 9am to 5pm. Early registrations can only be made during those times and in person by a member of the team at the Skyline Marine Taylorsville location. Registrations by phone, email, messaging or by proxy will NOT be allowed.
100% payback every week
We will be using a points system instead of total weights this year. 1st place gets 100 points then it drops in 5 point increments to 19th with 10 points and everyone below 19th will receive 10 points. We will also have a couple “super tournaments” in which you can earn double points.
Entry Fee is $25 per person and $25 Side Pot optional per person
Both Anglers in boat MUST participate if you choose to do the sidepot
ORIGINAL TEAM is who you sign up with at the FIRST Tournament (unless you fish with a child 16 and under)
Alternates allowed for 2 tournaments MAX!
Participant Information:
ANYONE (including professional fishermen) is allowed to fish
16 yrs and under fish free with a paying adult
No 2 kids are allowed to fish together
Weather Calls will be made no later than 1900 (7:00 P.M.) Friday Night
Raffle money taken in during the season goes directly to Championship Pay Out
Giveaways at each tournament will continue
Outside Benefit Tournaments:
We will adjust our schedule to accommodate benefit tournaments
If we fish during a benefit tournament it will a non-points tournament

Blast Off Order and Procedures:
Get in single file line *you know who is in front of you*
You will idle by my boat with live wells open. You will continue to idle until you are clear of my trolling motor then you may take off.
The first 10 to sign up will draw chips to determine blast off order.
The remaining participant’s will blast off in sign up order.
NC Laws apply on Off Limits Area:
NC No Wake Laws Apply
Outside buoys & 50 ft away from dock at River’s Edge Marina
No fishing inside the Keep Out Buoys around the dam. This is a state law.
No fishing inside buoys AT ALL to avoid issues with Duke Power
In an emergency, call 911 but for other problems on the water call Lake Hickory Scuba and Marine at 828-632-7649
Protest Procedures:
Evidence required to protest (picture or video ONLY)
Protest must be made BEFORE weigh in is complete and money paid out.
The tournament directors have the right to polygraph test anyone at anytime during the tournaments.
Behavioral Expectations:
When you sign up, you are agreeing to these rules/regulations – no discussion or negation of rules/regulations tolerated
NO DRAMA!!!
No negative social media posts about other participants or The Lake Hickory Winter Trail
We reserve the right to deny entry at our discretion
Championship Information:
Top 15 in Points (total weight) will fish with original team

Pay Out 3 Spots (1st = 70%, 2nd =20%, 3rd = 10%)
**Added** Shimano is offering 5 wildcards to fish the championship, so there will be 20 teams fishing. All you have to do is each team must spend $300 total (pretax, does not include promotions, sales, etc) of Shimano products bought at Skyline Marine Taylorsville by January 31st to be eligible. Highest finishing Shimano team wins $3000.
