Rental Terms & Conditions *

• I have read the following terms and conditions and agree to them unconditionally.

1. Inclement weather policy. If inclement weather shall require that the renter(s) return the boat early a refund will be issued upon successful check-in of the boat for only the remaining time left on the rental. Renter(s) may choose to apply the refund toward another day’s rental (pending availability).


2. Fuel: Boat rental price does include fuel, unless the renter has the boat for multiple days. At the start of the rental period, the boat will be provided to the renter(s) with a full tank of gasoline. For a multiple day rental, at the end of the rental period the boat will be refueled (at Skyline Marina) and renter(s) are responsible for all fuel used during rental.


3. Inspection of Equipment. Skyline Marina certifies that the boat and motor/engine components are in good mechanical and physical condition. Any known damage or problems will be listed on the “Boat Inspection Sheet”. Renter(s) will inspect said equipment and if equipment has damage or problems not listed on the “Boat Inspection Sheet”, renter(s) must notify the Skyline Marina before use of the boat begins.


4. Damages to Equipment. Renter(s) acknowledge and understand that equipment is to be left in clean, undamaged condition, in the same condition at commencement of the rental period. If rental equipment (including watersports equipment, life vests, anchors, ropes, etc) is not left in suitable condition, or is damaged, or broken, renter(s) acknowledge and understand that Skyline Marina reserves the right to charge current market value for any damages, repairs, replacement, or special cleaning of boat and its accessories. Renter(s) acknowledge and agree that these charges may be deducted from their security deposit or charged to the credit card used for the rental.


5. Theft or loss. In the event of theft or loss, renter(s) are responsible for the replacement value of the equipment. In the event of abuse or damage, renter(s) will be charged for the repair or replacement of the equipment.


6. Boat Operation. Renter(s) acknowledge and agree that the equipment will be operated by the Captain named above, prior to taking custody of it.


7. Repairs and/or Service Calls. Renter(s) acknowledge and understand that Skyline Marina cannot guarantee against mechanical failures of the rental equipment. Renter(s) agree to immediately notify Skyline Marina of defective or non-working units. Skyline Marina will make every reasonable effort to repair or replace defective unit(s) as quickly as possible. Skyline Marina will make every effort to ensure Renter(s) are able to enjoy the full time allotted for the rental by extending the rental when available for the lost time. However, in some cases a refund will be issued for only the lost time from caused by the mechanical failure. Renter(s) may choose to apply the refund toward another day’s rental (pending availability).


8. Loss of renter(s) property. It is expressly agreed that Skyline Marina shall not be liable for loss of or damage to any of renter(s) property. Renter(s) agree to hold Skyline Marina harmless from and against any such claims.


9. Return of Equipment. Renter(s) acknowledges and understand that they will return the boat and all accessories by agreed time. Renter(s) agree that equipment will be returned cleaned and free from any trash, mud, food, etc. A cleaning fee of $50 may be charged for any rental that is returned and requires extra cleaning.


10. Please be prompt with boat check-in. Late arrivals will be charged an additional fee.

Captain's Terms & Conditions *

• I, the Captain, have read the following terms and conditions and agree to them unconditionally.

1. The Captain warrants that he/she is an experienced and qualified operator of said equipment in the state of North Carolina and will not allow any other persons, except a qualified member of their party, to operate the equipment. The Captain assumes all responsibility and liability for any other operators of the equipment.


2. Captain agrees that he/she will disclose to Skyline Marina all potential operators, passengers and users of said rental equipment. Captain assumes all responsibility and liability for any passengers not disclosed to Skyline Marina and listed in the passenger manifest.


3. Captain will not operate the equipment, or permit anyone to operate, while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.


4. Captain will observe and ensure that all renter(s) will observe all rules and regulations posted at the marina, on the lake and in the NC Vessel Operator’s Guide (available online).


5. Captain will not allow more than the maximum number of persons that is shown on the boat as maximum capacity.
